Honorable Mention Title: Ara parrots at Lagoa das Araras sunset Argentina Lagoa das Araras in Cerrado Brasil is a magic place where the Ara Parrots create their nests in palm trunks. At the sunset light, in silent atmosphere couples of parrots fly to find food for their children. I am very proud about this shot because I took many risks to get it. It was August 2010 and I was at the Cerrado taking photos of the wildlife. I knew about the Lagoa and wanted to get there at sunset, but my local driver was unable to find it. I was very upset about it and we were running out of time. The sun was falling down quickly and I was desperate, when finally we found the place, but I only had a few minutes of good light to take photos. Immediately, I saw the parrots on this tree as in a painting and I shot some pictures.
